This royal is on the mend.

Princess Michael of Kent broke both of her wrists after a brutal fall at Kensington Palace.

The Princess, 79, fell down the stairs of the royal residence she lives at with her husband, Prince Michael of Kent, per the Daily Mail on Thursday.

She attended King Charles’ pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace the same day with both of her wrists in splints, according to the outlet.

“So many things that you rely on being able to do, like cleaning your teeth, are impossible,” the royal member explained, per the outlet. “I can type with one finger on a mobile, but I can’t use a laptop.”

“I am told that, after an accident like this, if you do one wrong movement on top of the unhealed bones, you are back where you started,” she added.

The royal had her arms full with overcoats when the accident happened, according to Daily Mail, and as a result broke multiple small bones when she used her hands to break the fall.

Princess Michael was born Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz but goes by her husband’s title, as he’s a late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin. Princess Michael appeared in good spirits as she heals. She was photographed smiling while heading to the King’s traditional lunch before Christmas with her husband.

Reports recently surfaced that Princess Michael also had heart surgery a year ago.

“It shocked me. I still have to rest every afternoon,” Princess Michael said in quotes attributed to Majesty Magazine, in an interview published on Tuesday.

The royal member also touched on the shocking suicide of her son-in-law, Thomas Kingston, for the first time. Kingston was married to Prince and Princess Michael’s daughter, Lady Gabriella Windsor, for five years before his death in February at age 45.

A gun was found next to his body, which was discovered at his parents’ home in the Cotswolds.

The coroner said his cause of death was a “traumatic wound to the head.” The official also concluded that Kingston took his own life.

Kingston wed Lady Gabriella in May 2019. He was a financier, former hostage negotiator and ex-boyfriend of Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa Middleton.

The royal and her family released a statement on Feb. 27 confirming Kingston’s death.

“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother,” the statement read. “Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”

Lady Gabriella spoke about her late husband’s death in an emotional witness statement read aloud at the Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court on Dec. 3, the Telegraph reported.

“It appears to me Tom’s impulsive action was likely provoked by an adverse reaction to the medication he had been taking in the last two weeks of his life,” her written statement read.

Gabriella also claimed that her husband had never expressed any suicidal thoughts to her or others, Hello! reported.

“[Work] was certainly a challenge for him over the years, but I highly doubt it would have led him to take his own life, and it seemed much improved,” she elaborated.
