Meghan Markle delays Netflix cooking show amid LA fires
The release of Meghan Markle’s cooking show on Netflix has been delayed.
The streamer announced Sunday that “With Love, Meghan” will now premiere on March 4 instead of January 15 due to the deadly wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” the Duchess of Sussex, 43, said in a statement.
The eight-episode series will follow the former royal in the kitchen with some of her famous friends, including Mindy Kaling and her “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer.
Markle and Prince Harry, 40, recently met with victims of the LA fires and first responders who have been battling the blazes at the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday.
The Post understands it was not a planned press visit but rather an effort to make a meaningful difference in their community while trying to avoid causing disruption.
Sources told The Post that the Duke and Duchess — who tried to keep a low-profile during the outing — were focused on supporting and helping both physically and emotionally without causing chaos.
Markle and Harry also donated clothing, children’s items, and other essential supplies via their Archewell Foundation to the main donation center.
In addition, the couple have opened their sprawling $29.5 million Montecito mansion to friends of theirs who have fled the fires.
In a message shared on their website Thursday, Markle and Harry listed a range of charitable organizations that are assisting with the crisis and are in need of donations. They also urged those who are able to “open your home.”
“If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do,” the pair said in their statement. “And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating.”
The trailer for “With Love, Meghan” came out Jan. 2, and shows Markle picking flowers, serving Kaling cake and having cocktails in a rented $5 million Montecito mansion.
Netflix’s logline calls the show an “inspiring series” where Markle “shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected.”
Markle and Harry have a $100 million deal with the streamer. They came out with their five-part “Harry & Meghan” docuseries in 2022, while Harry’s “Polo” doc dropped in Dec. 2024.
One Hollywood exec recently The Post that Markle’s new series is the pair’s last chance at streaming relevancy.
It’s so sad because they had this huge platform,” the exec said. “Now I can’t really see [Markle] doing much else in terms of … pushing herself into the public eye.”
