Yankees-Dodgers World Series ticket prices dropping: Where to buy
The Fall Classic is almost upon us.
On Friday, Oct. 25, the New York Yankees will drop into the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ Dodger Stadium for the long-awaited first game of the 2024 World Series.
Gerrit Cole has been tapped to pitch game one for the Bronx Bombers; Jack Flaherty is scheduled to toe the rubber for LA.
Outside of the aces on the hill, a few of the major storylines swirling around this year’s matchup include a.) stars Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani going head-to-head, b.) the teams having the highest payrolls in baseball, c.) Los Angeles mostly using their bullpen instead of a traditional starting rotation and d.) the East-West Coast clubs reviving a long-dormant rivalry (this is their 12th WS matchup!).
However, fans may also want to pay attention to plummeting ticket prices.
Earlier in the week, the New York Post reported on how much World Series seats cost.
Back then, the lowest price we could find on tickets for games one and two in Los Angeles was $1,074 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Now, just three short days later, they start at $926 including fees.
For those without a calculator on hand, that’s $148 in savings.
While, yes, the tickets are still expensive, every dollar counts, especially if you’re debating whether you want to go to a potential game six or seven.
