Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori won’t be punished for Grammys look: report
Exposed but unscathed.
Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, won’t face any type of formal reprimand after she walked the 2025 Grammys red carpet practically nude on Sunday night, according to a new report.
Neither the Recording Academy nor AEG, the two organizations that partner to put on the Grammys annual telecast, received any complaints during or after the awards ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, TMZ reported on Monday.
Grievances were also not sent to the police, per the outlet, which cited an LAPD spokesperson as saying no one has contacted the department griping over what Censori wore (or didn’t wear).
The trained architect and Head of Architecture at West’s Yeezy company, Censori, 30, turned heads when she walked the Grammys red carpet with West, 47, and ditched her fur coat to reveal a barely-there, flesh-colored, entirely see-through dress.
And while West, who was a nominee and invited guest, told Grammys organizers that he wanted to walk the red carpet, details of his wife’s look do not seem to have been shared, according to TMZ. Officials and staff were allegedly “caught off guard” by the Australian native’s daring display.
One person who did object to Censori’s shocking scene was Meghan McCain, former co-host of “The View.” In a since-deleted post on X, McCain called the rapper “a repugnant, vile piece of garbage,” adding, “And his wife looks like a victim and a hostage.”
The news that Censori won’t face censure comes on the heels of heated speculation over whether she violated any dress code rules the Grammys may impose on guests.
Coverage of the awards show’s red carpet was flooded with conversations about Censori’s appearance, fueled even further by a Sunday night Instagram post from Entertainment Tonight that claimed the “Good Morning” rapper and his wife “showed up” to the red carpet “uninvited with an entourage of about five people and were escorted out.” The outlet has since deleted the post.
Censori’s shocking look was inspired by the album art for West’s 2024 LP “Vultures 1,” Page Six reported. The cover features Mrs. West, back to camera, wearing only black thigh-high boots and a small square of black mesh fabric over the top of her bottom secured by a thin piece of black cord.
Already a 24-time Grammy winner, West was nominated for Best Rap Song for his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign on “Carnival,” though he ultimately lost out to Kendrick Lamar and his Drake diss track “Not Like Us.”
In stark contrast to his wife’s sartorial choices, Ye was almost entirely covered up, dressed in black cargo pants, an oversized black tee, black boots and black shades.
