He couldn’t match their horsepower.

Jacksonville, Fla. Sheriffs officers chased down a suspected drug perp on horseback in an extended foot-versus-hoof chase caught on bodycam camera.

Jordan Wilson, 25, had supposedly just made a suspicious narcotics handoff when JSO Officer Cassie Haire, mounted on her trusty steed Nash, spotted the possible crime and began pursuit with the help of three other mounted officers, on Tuesday.

“Get that bad man, Nash!,” Haire says, encouraging her horse as Wilson runs on foot across a busy roadway.

Wilson manages to keep some distance from the horse — the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office being forced to speed up the video release for brevity’s sake.

The suspect is warned to stop or he’ll be “run over” by the horses as he seems to make some distance as he sprints through streets and parking lots with the three horse-riding officers in pursuit.

“Bro, you’re not going to be able to outrun us on the horse,” Haire admonishes Wilson, adding, “You better stop.”

Officers would finally convince the 25-year-old to stop fleeing — body cam footage showing a sweaty Wilson being shown the back of a police cruiser.

In all, the chase went on for one-quarter of a mile before Wilson surrendered, according to Fox13 News.

“While Nash is the star of the video, we want to give a big shoutout to fellow crime-fighting steeds Jaxx, Judge, and Duke for making sure justice was the mane priority,” JSO said in a statement.

“Our Mounted Unit doesn’t just horse around when it comes to crime.”

Wilson was charged with resisting an officer without violence and has since been released, Fox13 reports.
