Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s full relationship timeline
The sparks between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still flying.
From a blockbuster international tour to Super Bowl and playoff triumphs, the pop superstar and the Chiefs tight end have been there for each other through it all.
Here’s a look at the couple’s red-hot love story.
July 2023: Making his intentions known
Kelce, 35, was a man with a plan in the summer of 2023 when he intended to gift Swift, also 35, a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it while attending her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City.
Unfortunately for him, the proposed handoff never happened.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce said on the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce.
“… She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal… but it was an unbelievable show.”
September 2023: First Chiefs game
Roughly two months after shooting his shot with Swift, reports circulated that Kelce and the singer were “quietly hanging out.”
However, there wasn’t anything quiet about Sept. 24, 2023, when Swift attended her first Chiefs game of the 2023 season, a dominant 41-10 win over the Bears.
Swift was captured on the Fox broadcast sitting in an Arrowhead Stadium suite with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce.
October 2023: They’re stepping out
Days after Swift traveled to Kansas City for a “Thursday Night Football” win over the Broncos on Oct. 12, 2023, Kelce joined the “Fortnight” singer in New York, where they stepped out publicly for the first time.
In addition to making cameos on “Saturday Night Live,” they dined out on separate occasions, holding hands as the paparazzi snapped photos.
November 2023: ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’
Swift stunned concertgoers in Argentina during a November 2023 Eras Tour show when she changed the lyrics to her 2022 song “Karma” by adding a sweet nod to Kelce, who was in the audience.
Instead of singing, “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me,” she sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
February 2024: Sealing a Super Bowl win with a kiss
When the Chiefs punched their ticket to Super Bowl 2024, chatter began to swirl if Swift — who had just resumed the international leg of the Eras Tour — would be able to make it from Tokyo to Las Vegas in time for the big game on Feb. 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium.
Spoiler alert: She did!
Swift cheered on Kansas City in a star-studded suite with pals Blake Lively and Ice Spice as the Chiefs topped the 49ers in overtime, 25-22, for their second straight Super Bowl win.
Upon meeting Kelce on the field, the couple embraced for a kiss before celebrating well into the night.
March 2024: Globetrotting
As the NFL offseason began for Kelce, the Pro Bowler joined Swift on the road at different Eras Tour stops, including Australia and Singapore, which he discussed at length on a March 2024 edition of his “New Heights” podcast.
“I love them both, man,” Kelce said of the locales. “… I want to see more of Australia, I feel like I got to see a little bit more of Singapore so I’m going to say Singapore was a little more interesting, for sure.”
The pair also took some time for themselves later in the month with a romantic trip to the Bahamas.
April 2024: A new era
Swift formally ushered in a new era in April 2024 with the release of her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Although the double album boasted several breakup tracks following her respective splits from actor Joe Alwyn and singer Matty Healy in 2023, songs such as “The Alchemy” and “So High School” appear to have been inspired by Kelce.
June 2024: Stealing the show
London Swifties got quite the treat on June 23, 2024, when Kelce made his Eras Tour debut during the “Tortured Poets” set of the performance.
Dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, the Chiefs star appeared on stage before Swift sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” at Wembley Stadium.
When recapping the performance in an Instagram post, Swift said she was still “swooning” over Kelce’s cameo.
“Never going to forget these shows,” she gushed.
September 2024: Whirlwind week
No one had a better victory lap to open the 2024 NFL season than Swift and Kelce.
The “Cruel Summer” singer attended the Chiefs’ Week 1 win over the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 5, 2024, arriving at the season-opener in a denim ensemble paired with red thigh-high boots.
Days later, the pair ventured to New York where they took in the men’s U.S. Open final with pals Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany.
As Italy’s Jannik Sinner downed American Taylor Fritz in straight sets, Swift and Kelce danced in the box and packed on the PDA.
When Kelce traveled back to Kansas City, Swift hit the red carpet at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards solo on Sept. 11, 2024, but thanked the three-time Super Bowl champ in her acceptance speech for Video of the Year for “Fortnight.”
“Everything that man touches turns to happiness and fun,” she said. “So, I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot.”
December 2024: Sweet surprise
To commemorate the end of her record-smashing Eras Tour, Kelce threw Swift a surprise party as she wrapped its nearly two-year run in December 2024.
Themed after the tour itself, Mahomes and Brittany attended the Kansas City bash, along with Swift’s pal, Ashley Avignone.
Kelce sported a tuxedo and top hat, similar to the style he wore on stage in London, while Swift paired her little black dress from Balmain with $36,000 De Beers diamond earrings.
January 2025: History repeating
Unlike last year’s postseason run, when the Chiefs spent part of it on the road, the reigning Super Bowl champs took down their opponents at home with Swift attending their Divisional Round and AFC Championship wins in January 2025.
When the Chiefs secured their spot in Super Bowl 2025 after an AFC title game win over the Bills, Swift made her way down to the field at Arrowhead Stadium, where she and Kelce kissed as the red and yellow confetti fell to the ground.
Perhaps a similar scene will unfold on Feb. 9, 2025, should the Chiefs defeat the Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl 2023. Kansas City topped Philly two years ago, 38-35.
