‘The View’s Ana Navarro Says Elon Musk Wants To Be King Of America And Trump Is Just “A Court Jester”

Ana Navarro‘s words on this morning’s episode of The View are sure to rile up the president if he’s tuning in. During a discussion about President Donald Trump‘s comparison of himself to a king, the co-host belittled him by suggesting Trump isn’t the real “king,” DOGE head Elon Musk is.

Her brutal blow to the POTUS came as the panel chatted about Trump’s Truth Social post proclaiming, “Long live the king!” in celebration of his move to end congestion pricing in New York City. The official White House X account also tweeted out a fake Time Magazine cover showing Trump in a crown, smiling with Manhattan in the background. The cover also read, “Long live the king.”

After seeing the cover, Joy Behar, filling in as moderator today for an absent Whoopi Goldberg, quipped, “Yeah, he’s the lyin’ king,” then added, “Please, if he’s king, I’m Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands, OK?”

Sunny Hostin had her own take on Trump’s royal aspirations, telling the Hot Topics panel, “I have something to say about this ‘Long live the king,” before quoting New York Times journalist Ezra Klein, who urged people not to believe Trump’s illusion of ultimate power and argued that he has actually never wanted to be president, but has wanted to be king.

In a Feb. 2 piece in the Times, he wrote, in part, “His plan this time is to first play king on TV. If we believe he is already king, we will be likelier to let him govern as a king.”

His words struck a chord with Hostin, who agreed,”right now what we’re seeing is, he’s waving his scepter, his king scepter … he’s waving the scepter around and people seem to think that things are happening by executive order, and I think that that is his plan.”

Echoing her theory about Trump’s “diabolical” plans from the show’s Feb. 11 episode, Hostin warned, “He wants to run for a third term. He wants to be king.”

But Navarro saw things a little differently.

“I think Elon Musk is king and he’s much more of a court jester, Donald Trump,” she said.
