Meghan McCain slams Meghan Markle’s lifestyle rebrand

Meghan McCain expressed her distaste for Meghan Markle after the latter once again rebranded her “boring” lifestyle company from American Riviera Orchard to As Ever.
“I cannot stand her,” the TV personality admitted on Wednesday’s episode of her “Meghan McCain’s Happy Hour” podcast.
“I love people that I can relate to, like every other 40-year-old mom. I don’t want to eat her jam. I love Princess Kate [Middleton].”
McCain, 40, admitted to guests and fellow journalists Perez Hilton and Mary Katharine Ham that she was confused by Markle’s business strategy, adding, “I don’t know what she’s doing.
“This is, like, her ninth rebrand. I actually had to review her show and her podcast, and it was horrible. It was so boring.”
Hilton, 46, slammed Markle, 43, as inauthentic and Ham, 44, chimed in that the Duchess of Sussex was “terminally uninteresting.”
Reps for Markle weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
McCain has been an outspoken critic of Markle ever since the latter “disrespected the royal family” when she and her husband, Prince Harry, 40, left England for America in 2020.
In January, the journalist called out the “Suits” alum’s forthcoming Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” which is set to be released on March 4.
“Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored. All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch,” McCain said after watching the show’s trailer.
McCain also slammed the businesswoman for being “utterly tone deaf” instead of using her influence to help others in the world, as several “Americans can’t pay for groceries” and amid ongoing devastating occurrences, such as the current war in the Middle East.
“Do something to help people instead of your ego. This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else,” she said.
Markle, meanwhile, announced on Tuesday that she was rebranding her company, as she prepares for the launch of her Netflix series.
The actress explained she decided to name her company As Ever because she believed American Riviera Orchard, which is also a nickname for Santa Barbara, Calif., “limited” her business scope to the area she lives in.
Markle also released a new website for her brand, featuring her and Harry’s 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Markle, however, has already faced criticism for her brand’s logo — featuring two palm trees and two hummingbirds — with a politician in Spain alleging the royal copied the Mallorcan village’s coats of arms.
