Bill Corgan’s mother-in-law was injured after a car drove through his teahouse, Madame ZuZu’s, in Highland Park, Illinois, on Wednesday.

The Smashing Pumpkins singer, 57 — married to Chloe Mendel — shared the announcement on behalf of his wife in an Instagram post shortly after the accident.

According to Corgan’s post, his mother-in-law was at the tea and coffee house having lunch with their son, Augustus Juppiter Corgan, 8, who was unharmed in the incident.

“This afternoon at Madame ZuZu’s, a car (in circumstances which remain under investigation), drove over the curb and into Madame ZuZu’s, crashing through the window and sadly injuring one person — my mother, Jenny; who was spending the day and lunching with my son Augustus,” Mendel’s statement shared by rocker explained.

“Thankfully, he was able to leap out of the way and was not injured,” it continued. “Our family is grateful for the swift assistance of the Highland Park and Deerfield first responders.”

Corgan’s tea shop, located at 1876 First Street, will remain closed until further notice.

The Smashing Pumpkin’s co-founder did not give any details on the extent of his mother-in-law’s injuries or her condition after the accident; however, two people — including the driver — were sent to the hospital, according to The Record.

The Post has reached out to Corgan’s rep for comment.

Emergency responders arrived to the “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” singer business around noon after a red Mini Cooper plowed through the window.

The City of Highland Park shared an update on its social media, confirming that two were transported for treatment.

“Two individuals, the driver of the vehicle and a patron of the restaurant, were transported for treatment. The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident was accidental. At this time, no additional information is available,” the city shared on Facebook.

Photos and video from local news agencies show the damage.
