Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns shoots free throws after monster night

Even after a game where Karl-Anthony Towns put up a season-high 46 points, the Knicks star was out on the court working on his free throws after the heartbreaking 124-123 loss to the Bulls.

Towns continued his stellar start to the season with the effort against Chicago, which included grabbing 10 rebounds and shooting 18-for-30 from the field at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

However, he missed four of his eight shots from the charity stripe.

That appeared to be enough for Towns to feel the need to work on his free-throw shooting after the loss, and he was spotted in full uniform still on the court well after the teams had cleared the floor and fans had made their way out the door.

As MSG reporter Monica McNutt was standing courtside during the postgame show, Towns was seen with a Knicks staffer shooting foul shots as arena workers carried out their duties in the background and an arena security guard stood watch.

Towns also finished the game with three assists and three steals.

But his decision to work on his game even after putting up 46 points impressed plenty of Knicks fans online, who were quick to commend the offseason acquisition for his commitment.

“I would legitimately die for Karl Anthony-Towns. He is already the best player on the team. Playing in a Knicks jersey means something to him,” one person wrote on X

“Remember when New Yorkers questioned whether Karl-Anthony Towns was built for the city? Who else was doing this after the game?” someone else wrote

“Karl Anthony Towns is still on the MSG court, shooting free throws. That’s what you love to see from your super star player,” a third user wrote
