Got any spare change? That’s the simple philosophy behind Acorns, a mobile app that allows users to invest small amounts of money by rounding up their debit or credit card purchases.
It’s all about helping everyday people, says CEO Noah Kerner. “It was really around [the age of] 30 where I got hit by that heavy feeling of you should add more value to society more broadly.” So instead of stock trading, crypto, or credit cards, Acorns is focused on helping people save their pennies and watching them grow.
