Beyoncé goes for Western glam in gold paisley gown and matching gloves at Grammys 2025
Yeehaw.
Though she was noticeably absent on the red carpet, Beyoncé arrived at the 2025 Grammys ceremony decked out in her “Cowboy Carter” best.
Hitting the stage to accept the Grammy for best country album award from presenter Taylor Swift, the superstar was clad in a glamorous Schiaparelli Haute Couture paisley gown and matching long gloves.
She styled her long blond hair in a middle part and accessorized with pearl earrings featuring enormous 25-carat pear-shaped diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz.
Husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy, wearing a glamorous blue ballgown, were in attendance to support the superstar.
The appearance comes after she surprised fans by announcing that she will be taking her country album on tour ahead of the awards show — though she did not reveal dates or details.
Queen Bey is the queen of the musical awards show as she became the artist with the most wins — and most nominations — in Grammy history in 2021 and has continued to garner praise from the Recording Academy.
This year, she leads the pack with 11 nominations, bringing her career total to 99 (with 32 wins), thanks to her genre-bending masterpiece, which was released in March 2024 — just one month after last year’s Grammy’s
Not only is “Cowboy Carter” up for the biggest category of the night, album of the year, but she’s also received nominations in a wide variety of genres, including pop, melodic rap performance, country and Americana categories, her first-ever nominations in the latter two.
If Beyoncé wins the album of the year, she’ll become the first black woman to do so in the 21st century, succeeding Lauryn Hill’s win in 1999. The highest honor has been a point of contention for the Bey Hive and her closest family, with Jay-Z calling out the voting body on stage last year.
While accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his work in the music industry with Blue by his side, the rapper said, “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” he said while looking at his wife.
He added, “The most Grammys – never won Album of the Year. That [math] doesn’t work.” She has previously been nominated four times in the category.
Bey, 43, actually began her “Cowboy Carter” era at the 2024 Grammys, when she skipped the red carpet but arrived during the show in Western wear for the first time, rocking a straight-from-the-runway Louis Vuitton two-piece shorts set and a cowboy hat.
The following week, she announced her album and dropped two singles — “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” during the Super Bowl.
Fans are certainly hoping that Bey might get on stage during the telecast as she’s only performed “Cowboy Carter” songs once — on Christmas during the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens NFL game halftime — since dropping the album.
However, the singer has not graced the Grammy stage since 2017, when she looked like a goddess while pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir Carter and sang “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles” from her album “Lemonade.”
