Yale ‘potentially more dangerous’ than Hamas

Bill Ackman declared that Yale University is “no different than Hamas” and that the Ivy League school is “potentially even more dangerous” than the Palestinian terrorist group.

The billionaire hedge fund manager published a post that went viral on his X account. It quotes “a friend” who was “asked to write a recommendation for his daughter who is applying to Yale.”

The unnamed “friend” wrote that they were unable to write the letter because they “no longer” are willing to engage Yale.

Ackman posted the statement on X that he said was from a “friend.”

“You wouldn’t ask me to write a letter of recommendation for her admission to Hamas,” Ackman wrote, adding that the university was “no different than Hamas” because it is a “cult that abides no disagreement, and a cult certain of its purpose and mission beyond reflection.”

The post goes on to claim that Yale is “potentially even more dangerous” because while the Palestinian group that carried out the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre of Israelis “will be defeated shortly,” Yale “will continue to send its graduates into positions of power for years.”

The “friend” cited by Ackman wrote that the prospective student “won’t learn” the “essential life skill” of having the “ability to change your mind” at Yale or “any Ivy League school.”

“Their reputations are still so strong that their faculty, staff and graduates all possess the arrogant certainty of religious fanatics,” Ackman wrote.

The Post has sought comment from Yale.

Yale is one of scores of college campus that were roiled by protests and demonstrations by students denouncing Israeli military strikes in Gaza following the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre by Hamas terrorists.

The subsequent Israeli retaliation, which is estimated to have killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, sparked calls from students at Yale and other colleges to divest from companies that do business with Israel.

In April, Yale students set up a “Liberation Zone” encampment on campus — similar to the tent protests at Columbia University, whose administration asked the NYPD to arrest students taking part in demonstrations.

Police were called to the Yale campus where they arrested more than 50 people, including 46 students.

Yale Corporation, which manages the school’s $40 billion endowment, rejected student calls to divest from companies doing business with Israel.

Ackman, a Harvard alum, publicly pushed for his alma mater to fire its president, Claudine Gay, after accusing her of failing to crack down on alleged antisemitic attacks against Jewish students on the Cambridge, Mass. campus.

Gay eventually resigned in January after it was learned she had plagiarized in her academic work.

Ackman criticized Gay for plagiarism and then threatened to sue Business Insider after it revealed that his wife, Neri Oxman, plagiarized multiple paragraphs in her 2010 MIT doctoral dissertation.
