Colin Cowherd abruptly leaves FS1 show after getting sick on air

Colin Cowherd had to cut to a commercial due to a sickness during his FS1 show, “The Herd,” on Monday.

The show’s official X account shared a message about Cowherd’s condition after he exited the set in a concerning moment.

“Colin is doing OK. Thank you for your concerns,” it said. “Colin is under the weather and [co-host] Jason Mcintyre is filling in.”

Cowherd, 61, was discussing the bombshell NBA trade that sent Mavericks star Luka Doncic to the Lakers in a package for Anthony Davis when he revealed he wasn’t feeling well.

“Folks, I’m going to take a break,” he said. “I am getting very, very sick very, very quickly on this set and we will return.”

The timing isn’t ideal for the longtime Fox Sports host, as “The Herd” is set to broadcast on location in New Orleans this week for Super Bowl 2025 between the Chiefs and Eagles.

Cowherd’s three-hour sports talk program, which airs simultaneously on FS1 and the Fox Sports Radio Network on weekdays, will broadcast from Maison Bourbon Jazz Club.

It’s all part of a live slate of Fox Sports shows that will take over Bourbon Street ahead of the big game — airing on Fox for the 11th time Sunday.

The reigning champion Chiefs are chasing a historic three-peat.

The Eagles are looking to redeem themselves after a 38-35 loss to Kansas City in Super Bowl 2023.
