Donald Trump unveils flurry of ambassador picks for Japan, Austria and more

President-elect Donald Trump rolled out five key picks for ambassadorships in Japan, the Dominican Republic, Austria, Luxembourg and Uruguay on Monday as he continues to fill out his incoming administration.

Trump selected George Edward Glass as ambassador to Japan, Leah Francis Campos as ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Stacey Feinberg as ambassador to Luxembourg, Arthur Graham Fisher as ambassador to Austria and Lou Rinaldi as ambassador to Uruguay.

All of those picks need to lock down Senate confirmation before they can officially become ambassador.

Glass previously served as US ambassador to Portugal and as the president of Pacific Crest Securities, which focused on tech-related investment banking in Poland.

Should he get confirmed, he will succeed former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who has sparked buzz recently about potentially helming the Democratic National Committee.

Campos is the sister-in-law of Department of Transportation secretary designee Sean Duffy, a former Republican Rep. She is also the sister of “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy.

“Leah served our Country as a CIA Case Officer before becoming Senior Advisor for the Western Hemisphere on the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump recounted on Truth Social.

“Leah will take her love of Country, and commitment to our National Security and Prosperity, to her post as U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic. Congratulations Leah!”

Feinberg is a board member on the Board Member of the Women Founders Network, which endeavors to empower female business leaders across industries. She helped produce Broadway musicals and also worked as a motivational speaker.

Fisher is the president of the eponymous Fisher Realty which operates in North Carolina.

“He has been consistently ranked as a top broker in the area, and the State of North Carolina, representing many of the most astute clients in America,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Lastly, Rinaldi is a longtime friend of Trump, whom he described as a “successful” businessman and entrepreneur who grew up in Uruguay and is a “great golfer.”

“Having grown up in Uruguay, he possesses an intimate understanding of the Country’s culture and history. His expertise and background make him exceptionally qualified to advance U.S. interests,” Trump said.

Trump has been building out his next administration at a rapid pace — eclipsing the tempo of staffing announcements he had going into his first term in office.

Perhaps his most prominent ambassador pick is House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), whom he’s tapped to represent the US before the United Nations.

Last week, Trump caused a stir by announcing his eldest son’s longtime fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle as US ambassador to Greece shortly after revelations of her split with Donald Trump Jr.
