Drew Barrymore And Amy Schumer Bond Over Sleeping With “Stupid Men”

Drew Barrymore and Amy Schumer have made their fair share of mistakes when it comes to love. On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actresses bonded over sleeping with “really stupid men.”

The conversation started innocently enough, with Barrymore questioning why Schumer — who was promoting her new Netflix comedy Kinda Pregnant — chooses the men she does to play her love interests.

For those unfamiliar with the comedian’s work (and, more importantly, her onscreen romances), she starred alongside Michael Cera in Life & Beth, Bill Hader in Trainwreck, Rory Scovel in I Feel Pretty, and Will Forte in Kinda Pregnant.

“These are brilliant, cute, alterna, nerdy, hot, comedian, funny guys. Is that your type?” Barrymore asked, to which Schumer replied, “I think I stole that from you. Because you, my friend, have done the very same thing with your Jimmy Fallon and your Adam Sandler.”

“It’s like these sneaky guys, these little sneaky hots that are funny,” Schumer added.

The actress then pointed out that she and Barrymore both have “slept with stupid men.”

“Really stupid men,” Barrymore agreed, while Schumer added, “Really dumb.”

While the comment seemed random, Schumer had a bigger message up her sleeve.

“But then when it comes to who you want to be in a relationship with, you want somebody funny and sensitive and vulnerable,” she said. “That’s these guys.”

Both women agreed that they “want to be the problem” in their relationships, with Barrymore joking that she “usually” is the problem.

Schumer, for her part, has been open about her real-life marriage with her husband Chris Fischer amid her Kinda Pregnant press tour. On Monday’s (Feb. 3) episode of The View, she revealed that they typically prefer to schedule sex.

“There’s never a vibe. It never just happens. Do people do that?” she asked, to which co-host Sunny Hostin replied, “Yes, because you’ve got to get it in. You’ve got to get it in. You’ve got to schedule time to get it in, man.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
