Davante Adams had monster game
Heroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Jets’ 32-25 win over the Jaguars on Sunday:
Hero
Davante Adams caught nine passes for 198 yards and two TDs in the win, with many of his receptions changing the game.
His first TD, which was the 100th of his career, gave the Jets their first lead, 17-16.
His second came on a 71-yard catch-and-run that gave the Jets a 25-22 lead with 3:24 remaining in the game.
His last catch set the Jets up at the 1-yard line for the game-winning TD.
Unsung Hero
Aaron Rodgers is usually the hero in victories, but Adams was so good he pushed Rodgers to unsung after he completed 16 of 30 for 289 yards with three TDs and no turnovers.
Rodgers, too, was the Jets’ leading rusher with 45 yards on six key scrambles.
Zero
Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones didn’t play poorly, completing 31 of 46 for 294 yards, but he threw two INTs, the last of which ended the game as he was unable to bring the Jags back one final time.
Key stat
Zero receptions for Adams in the first half before he finished with nine for 198 yards and 2 TDs.
Quote of the day
“They’re all special. That’s why you play. You play for the love of the game, and to have moments like this with your boys, being able to come up big.’’
