Hoda Kotb Will Reportedly “Earn Way More” After ‘Today Show’ Exit: “The Sky’s The Limit”

Hoda Kotb‘s recent exit from The Today Show came as a shock to many. But the 60-year-old television star has several opportunities coming her way that will reportedly help her significantly more than she did on NBC.

A source told Us Weekly that Kotb is “going to earn way more” than she did at the Today show. The Daily Mail reports Kotb earned $7 million per year at Today, while industry newsletter Puck previously reported that number may even be north of $20 million.

“Now that she’s not full-time at NBC, Hoda’s going to be working with brands and can be paid to endorse them,” the source alleged. “She also could make several hundred thousand dollars for speaking engagements on subjects like, ‘changing your life at 60.’”

Kotb announced that she plans on pivoting to the wellness space by starting a wellness app and organizing retreats. She won’t be straying too far from NBC, however.

The source said Kotb will be “focusing on positive stories that she’s interested in, like female empowerment” as an NBC correspondent, making “around 10” appearances on Today a year.

“The sky’s the limit,” the source said.

Page Six reports that Kotb signed a new deal to remain at NBC in a limited capacity for exclusive interviews while also serving as a correspondent for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. But she will still be a free agent with the ability to pursue her own opportunities.

“I want to be a supporting character on a team that is already in place so that I’ll come in and just have a role there. And then I’m going to do my Making Space podcast, which I enjoy and love so much,” Kotb explained. “And for The Today Show, I think we talked about doing something every four to six weeks, just a little something.”

Kotb may even make an appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends, the rebranded fourth hour of The Today Show hosted by Jenna Bush Hager.

For now, however, Kotb is focusing on spending more time with her daughters, Haley Joy, 8, and Hope, 5.
