Violence remains the rule of law in Gaza after 15 months of war, with children recently spotted playing with guns bigger than themselves as Hamas police are nowhere to be found, according to Israeli officials.

Israeli military footage obtained by The Post shows the shocking moment when a group of three children in the Gaza Strip meet up in a sandy field carrying what appear to be large rifles.

A fourth child hurries to join the kids with his own massive gun, but he trips on a bump on the road and falls flat on his face with the weapon still in tow. The boy gets up quickly before any of the other kids can see the embarrassing stumble.

The four kids go on to inspect the weapons and tinker with them, with other children walking around in the background and taking supplies from the trunk of a nearby blue truck.

An Israeli defense official told The Post the scene of kids playing with guns rather than toys was just a normal occurrence in the Gaza Strip.

“They were carrying it from point A to point B — no grander purpose, just children living their daily life with weapons,” the officials said.

The dangerous scenario took place despite Hamas’ assurance that members of its police force would patrol and maintain order in Gaza as its more than 2 million refugees try to reclaim some semblance of normalcy after 471 days of intense warfare and destruction.

The journey to recovery has only been hindered by the destruction of nearly 70 percent of all buildings in Gaza, including homes, schools and hospitals.

Israeli officials have said it’s all too common for even children to have access to weapons in Gaza as it has long accused Hamas of arming and training small children.

Throughout the war, the IDF has published findings from Hamas bases across Gaza showing how the terrorists allegedly provided military training to young boys to indoctrinate them to fight Israel.

Slain Hamas chief and Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar was known to have given lectures to children and made toddlers in kindergarten play games where they kill Jews.

Following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Hamas could not be trusted to continue its reign over Gaza.

“[President Trump] has been very clear that Hamas cannot continue as a government or military force, and frankly as long as it stands as a force that can govern, as a force that can administer, or as a force that can threaten by use of violence, peace becomes impossible,” Rubio told reporters.

“It must be eradicated, it must be eliminated,” he added.
