McDonald’s reveals cool, new product for Valentine’s Day — but you can’t get it in the US: ‘This isn’t fair’

American McDonald’s fans are grimacing.
There’s a new product at the Golden Arches, but customers in the U.S. were disheartened to find out that its only available in Australia.
The fast-food chain announced a new limited-edition Grimace Tumbler, a purple, insulated cup with a yellow lid designed with the beloved character’s face on it.
“You can’t spell Cupid without Cup,” McDonald’s teased in a video posted on Facebook.
Fans in the comments were Mclovin’ it — but as American customers realized they couldn’t get one, they had a change of heart.
“These are only available in Australia, and I’m honestly so deeply saddened,” one commented.
“I’m in the U.S., and if I can’t get my hands on this I’m throwing a fit!!” someone wrote.
“Dear McDonald’s, stop showing us cool stuff like this if we are unable to get it. It really just makes us dislike you,” an upset customer declared.
Another called McDonald’s “very mean” for teasing fans outside of Australia.
“Why does USA NOT GET THE COOL STUFF!” someone else wondered.
“This isn’t fair. I want [a] Grimace Cup,” a user added.
According to the McDonald’s Australia website, the beverage holder is “a 1.18L stainless steel tumbler that is double wall vacuum insulated.”
“It’s the perfect accessory — keeping drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 6 hours,” the website read, adding that 100% of the profits will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia.
The Grimace Tumbler costs the equivalent of $21.95 at participating locations in Australia while supplies last.
