Mel Gibson says Kamala Harris ‘has the IQ of a fence post,’ reaffirms support for Trump

Mel Gibson gave a piercing assessment of Kamala Harris Thursday when he was asked about the presidential election — saying the vice president has the “IQ of a fence post.”

A photographer for TMZ caught up with Gibson, 68, as he walked into Los Angeles International Airport and asked what he thought about the 2024 election.

“Whoa, that’s a big question,” the “Mad Max” star joked.

“I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I’ll vote for,” Gibson said as the shutterbug trailed him into LAX on Thursday, the celebrity gossip site reported.

Video shared by TMZ shows Gibson gruffly and casually reaffirming his support for former President Donald Trump.

However, the “What Women Want” star became quite animated when discussing the Democratic presidential candidate.

“I know what it’ll be like if we let her in and that ain’t good,” the gray-bearded actor expounded.

“Miserable track record – appalling track record. No policies to speak of. And she’s got the I.Q. of a fence post,” Gibson said.

Trump has previously characterized both Harris and Biden as “low-IQ” and “mentally impaired.”

The “Get The Gringo” actor has not always been a vocal supporter of the 45th president.

He neglected to endorse the Don in either 2016 or 2020, but it’s not known whether he once disagreed with the Republican nominee or if he was one of Hollywood’s many silent conservative celebrities.

Eagle-eyed mixed-martial-arts fans saw “The Patriot” actor give then-former President Trump a salute at a UFC fight back in 2021.

Gibson’s disparaging comments about Harris come less than a week after fellow actor Actor Andrew Garfield, 41, voiced support for the controversial actor-director in an interview with People.

Garfield, who starred in the Gibson-directed “Hacksaw Ridge” in 2016, said that the lesson he took away from working with Gibson is that “people deserve second chances, third chances, fourth chances. That none of us are infallible.”

The “Social Network” star, who is Jewish, said he had “deep, important conversations” with Gibson, who infamously made antisemitic remarks — which derailed his career — in 2006 when he was arrested for a DUI.

“He’s done a lot of beautiful healing with himself…he’s an amazing filmmaker, and I think he deserves to make films. He deserves to tell stories because he has a very, very big, compassionate heart,’ Garfield concluded.
