Politics dominates at Pennsylvania McDonald’s Trump worked — where threats prompt police presence

FEASTERVILLE-TREVOSE, Pa. — Former President Donald Trump grabbed national headlines last weekend working the fry machine at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, but it’s clear not everyone has been “lovin’ it” in the time since.

Three law-enforcement officers were at the Bucks County franchise Wednesday afternoon to keep an eye out for anyone seeking to do harm to the Golden Arches or its regular employees.

One of the officers told The Post they were stationed there as a precaution because a group of unruly guests had caused a disturbance around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The incident was ultimately peacefully resolved, he said, but other credible threats against the fast-food location have also been called in since Trump’s visit.

Inside the restaurant Wednesday, politics dominated the lunchtime conversation between a table of locals.

Two older men sparred playfully about the extent to which illegal immigrants are responsible for violent crimes perpetrated against American citizens.

The conservative, Trump-supporting man at the table accused his friend of being misinformed by liberal networks seeking to downplay the issue.

“Where did you hear that? Where do you get your news, Charlie?” the man asked.

“Uh, CNN,” Charlie responded.

“Case closed. Fake news,” his pro-Trump friend fired back, getting a chuckle from his dining counterparts.

“I’m sorry you have to listen to this!” another woman at their table told The Post.

Comments on the restaurant’s Yelp page were temporarily disabled after users saddled it with one-star reviews.

“The fries were too salty as if someone who lost a major election had been crying over them for an hour,” one reviewer posted Monday.

“The person who was at the drive through vaguely resembled someone who I saw on the news for being a convicted felon,” wrote another.

Other commenters were kinder to the former prez, even declaring his visit had made McDonald’s “great again.”

“The best McDonalds I’ve ever been to in 47 years. The older employee was extremely nice,” one review read. “Make McDonalds Great Again! Bring back the Dollar Menu!”

McDonald’s released a statement following Trump’s visit affirming its commitment to welcoming everyone regardless of political affiliation but has not commented about the situation since.
