Ric Flair’s stepson Sebastian Kidder dies by suicide at 24

Ric Flair is mourning the death of his stepson, Sebastian Kidder, after the 24-year-old died by suicide on Saturday.

His mother, Wendy Barlow, confirmed the tragic news to TMZ and told the outlet that the family is “heartbroken” over her son’s death.

“I am devastated and shocked. This is an epidemic with your young men. And mental health,” Barlow said.

Police are currently investigating after Kidder died of a gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon at the family’s Georgia home.

Flair has not made any public comments about Kidder’s death.

Kidder is the son of Barlow and a previous partner that she was with before marrying the WWE legend in 2018.

Flair had been a part of Kidder’s life before the marriage between his mother and the pro wrestler, according to TMZ, dating back nearly a decade and a half.

Flair announced last month that he and Barlow were splitting up.

Kidder was a musician and had released his first album earlier this year titled “Under the Moon.”

As part of a promotional round for the album’s release, Kidder appeared on “Good Day Atlanta” where he discussed the inspiration for the album.

“[The album was inspired by] a lot of pain, a lot of suffering, a lot of crying in a corner and just hoping that words come out. No, I’m kidding,” Kidder said, according to US Weekly. “It’s actually very romance-filled, [that] is probably the core of the album. A lot of sexual energy [and] there’s a lot of lust in there, so something that people can relate to, for sure.”

During the interview, Kidder also explained that Flair had given him “a lot of advice.”

Sadly, Kidder’s death is not the first time Flair has lost a child.

His son Reid Flair died at the age of 25 in March 2013 of a drug overdose after being discovered in a Charlotte hotel room.
