Travis Kelce ‘felt like an ant’ at Taylor Swift’s at London Eras Tour show
Travis Kelce shared how he really felt about performing alongside his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, at her sold-out Eras Tour stop in London last year.
“I’ve been on a few stages in my life, [but] that one was definitely the most shocking,” the Kansas City Chiefs star told Westwood One Sports Saturday.
“I felt like an ant in a whole new world. The stadium, the lights, the crowd and how they went insane. The whole time I’m thinking, ‘Oh, snap, I have a job to do. I gotta lock in and I gotta make this fun.’”
Kelce, 35, admitted he felt the pressure to please the audience after “Tay gave [him] the opportunity” to perform on her record-breaking tour.
The tight end explained he also wanted to show the 14-time Grammy winner, 35, the “fun they could have” onstage together.
“Sure enough, the crowd was off their rocker,” he said. “It was insane in there for quite a while and a memory I’ll never forget, for sure.”
Kelce compared his Eras Tour debut to playing in the Super Bowl.
“There was that team aspect of, ‘Alright, we’re here together. I’m not up here by myself,’” he added, saying everyone’s “chemistry” aligned.
Swift sent fans into a frenzy when she welcomed the NFL star onstage for her third night at Wembley Stadium in June 2024.
Kelce joined the “Lover” songstress and her backup dancers for the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” transition skit.
The audience cheered as the three-time Super Bowl winner picked up the pop star from the ground after she pretended to faint.
He carried Swift to the center of the stage, helped her regain consciousness and prepped her to continue her setlist.
Kelce attended multiple stops during the “Cruel Summer” singer’s sold-out Eras Tour shows, where he was often spotted in the VIP section.
Swift, likewise, has supported his beau throughout two NFL seasons and will attend Super Bowl 2025 on Sunday to watch the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orlean. The “Love Story” singer will likely watch the highly anticipated game from an estimated $3 million suite.
