‘Yellowjackets’ star says bloody guts scene with bullies was ‘exhilarating’

“Yellowjackets” character Callie Sadecki may have gotten suspended for her school prank — but the actress who plays her, Sarah Desjardins, felt a rush while filming the bloody scene.

Warning: spoilers below!

Callie acts out in Season 3 while recovering from witnessing her mom, Shauna, played by Melanie Lynskey, kill a guy at the end of Season 2.

After a group of mean girls at her high school begin gossiping about her mother’s past, specifically, her soccer team resorting to eating each other to survive when their plane crashed in the Canadian wilderness in 1996, Callie takes matters into her own hands.

She orders raw animal guts from DoorDash and dumps it on the Chatty Cathys, which leads to her being temporarily banned from school.

While the scene is vomit-worthy, Desjardins exclusively told The Post it was “exhilarating” to film.

When asked what was really in the bag, the actress said, “It was fake! It was all fake meats and, like, parts.” However, she recalled, “It felt so real.”

“I don’t remember what it was made of,” she admitted, “but it made me uncomfortable how real it felt.”

“It was also very … I shouldn’t say this,” Desjardins told The Post.

“I get where Shauna [Lynskey’s character] is coming from. Like, the experience for Cali to like dump the guts on the girls was like, ‘This is exhilarating?’” she said, adding, “I kind of like it. I wanna do that again.”

“Yellowjackets” Season 3 debuted on Valentine’s Day — and while the cast gained an A-lister in Hilary Swank, they lost one of their own: Juliette Lewis, whose character, Natalie, died after being accidentally stabbed.

Not much is known about the person Swank will play on the hit series, but Desjardins and her TV dad, Warren Kole (Jeff Sadecki), shared what it was like to work with the Oscar winner.

“I mean, it’s Hilary Swank,” Desjardins said, with Kole chiming in that her role was “beautifully acted.”

Desjardins added they “can’t wait to see how the audience reacts” to Swank, sharing that “Obviously, they’re gonna love her.”

“Yellowjackets” already includes several high-profile names, including Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Lynskey and formerly Lewis, who play the adult versions of the teen survivors of the ’90s plane accident. Their characters are forced to go to unthinkable measures to survive.

The creators of the psychological thriller series, Ashley Lyle and her husband, Bart Nickerson, revealed they were inspired by a real-life aircraft crash.

In 1972, the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, carrying five crew members and 40 passengers, including the Uruguayan amateur rugby team, went down in the Andes mountains. Twelve people died in the crash. The others survived 72 days in the wilderness by resorting to eating the corpses of those who perished.

New episodes of “Yellowjackets” Season 3 premiere every Friday at 12 a.m. ET on Paramount+ with Showtime and every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Showtime.
